Beit Zaman is directly set on the Via Recta (or Straight Street), where one can purchase gorgeous antiques that mark the glorious Damascene past and where one can also visit top-notch traditionally themed restaurants. The Via Recta is an ancient road within the historical Old Damascus area that was originally paved in the Roman era; it is set between the historical Midhat Basha area and Bab Sharki, a gate aging over 2 millenniums.
With majestically illustrated rooms, one, there, will live in the enchanting Damascene golden eras when staying in Beit Zaman. This hotel is an excellent place to honeymoon, to conduct a business conference, and to relax after a long day at.
Facilities & Services
Jillak (Old Arabic Term for Tea Room): This is a great place to relax and socialize in. The ceiling of this room (called 'tawan' in Arabic) is decorated with a beautiful ‘ajami' woodwork. This room is designed to portray the architecture in Umayyad Era.
Al Dardasha Café: This is the hotel’s sidewalk café, a great place to relax in.
Hammam Zaman: This is a traditional steam bath where one can enjoy a soothing massage, a skin scrub, and a general body treatment course at; this luxury was enjoyed by Levantine aristocrats in olden times.
Al Areesha Terrace: This overlooks the romantic sight of the Old Damascus area. It is called Al Areesha Terrace because al-areesha means the extending network of grape tree vines in Arabic. There is a grape tree extending over connected wires to provide a beautiful sunscreen for guests relaxing in this terrace. The grape tree is 3 stories high and extends from the ground floor, through the walls of Beit Zaman's storeys, and to the top ceiling floor, where Al Areesha Terrace is at. This is the only hotel that has a tree growing within it in Old Damascus!
