Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Palmyra was a thriving city from 2,000 BC till the Byzantine era. This city has many things preserved as they where back then. If one gets educated about how precious such items are, he would not dare to tamper with them. Therefore, when he returns to his country, he would learn to respect historical remains and say after a few centuries that his country ruins would display how important society is (the same way Palmyrian ruins do!). Such ruins mark a significant portion of Mediterranean empires.
