Yafour Hotel Resort
Sustainability
This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Water and power conservation.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
If someone does not want his bed sheets, towels, and bathrobe, etc. be washed on a daily basis, he can ask the hotel room service not to do so. Also, sewage water is treated in order to be reused in irrigating crops and pastures. Saving water is a fundamental for preserving the environment. Excessive use of water sources will lead to drought. If there is drought, the whole ecosystem and agriculture of this area will be severely damaged.
Large-size room windows allow more sunlight to enter. This significantly decreases power consumption. Less power consumption means less burning of fossil fuels and air pollution that leads to global warming. Global warming has devastating effects on not only local but also global ecology.
